2010 AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships individual session tickets on sale tomorrow

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (October 16, 2009) - Individual session tickets for the 2010 AT&T U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Spokane, Wash., will go on sale tomorrow, Oct. 17, at 10 a.m. PST. Individual sessions offer fans the option to pick the events of their choice without purchasing an entire package of tickets.

Ticket prices range from $15 for several novice and junior events to $108 for the senior ladies free skate. The lowest price for a senior event is $20 for senior compulsory dance. 

Tickets of special interest are:

  • Friday, Jan. 15, Session 3 - Opening Ceremony, Senior Men's Short Program
  • Thursday, Jan. 21, Session 18 - Senior Ladies Short Program, Hall of Fame Ceremony
  • Sunday, Jan. 24, Session 23 - Smucker's Skating Spectacular

Fans purchasing individual session tickets will be able to select the seat of their choice by calling 888.SK8.2010 or by visiting the Spokane Arena box office. Ticket purchases from the event web site, www.spokane2010.com, will be given the best seat available at the time the order is placed. Fans interested in purchasing individual session tickets are encouraged to purchase tickets early.

Smucker's Skating Spectacular - $75

The U.S. Figure Skating Championships, held annually since 1914, is the nation's most prestigious figure skating event. Over the course of 10 days, the event will crown 12 U.S. champions in ladies, men's, pairs and ice dancing at the senior, junior and novice levels. The championships are the final event before the selection of the figure skating team that will compete for the United States 18 days later in Vancouver.

U.S. Figure Skating is the national governing body for the sport of figure skating in the United States as recognized by the United States Olympic Committee and the International Skating Union. U.S. Figure Skating is comprised of more than 700 member clubs, collegiate clubs, and school-affiliated clubs and more than 900 registered Basic Skills skating schools representing approximately 170,000 members. U.S. Figure Skating is charged with the development of the sport on all levels within the United States  including athletes, officials, sanctioning of events and exhibitions, and establishing the rules and guidelines by which the sport is governed.
