Belbin, Agosto to headline IceWorks "Ice Ages"

(04/20/2009) - ASTON, Pa. -- The IceWorks Skating Club, in conjunction with the IceWorks Skating Complex, is pleased to announce its 11th annual ice show starring five-time U.S. ice dance champions Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto, fresh off their world silver medal and winning performances at the ISU World Team Trophy.

This year's ice show theme is ICE AGES: Skating Through Time. The show will feature music spanning the past century and will take place on April 24th (7:00 p.m. ET), 25th (1:00 p.m. ET, 7:00 p.m. ET) and 26th (4 p.m. ET). Belbin and Agosto train at the IceWorks Skating Complex under the tutelage of 1980 Olympic ice dance champions Natalya Linichuk and Gennadiy Karponosov.

Two-time U.S. ice dance bronze medalists Kimberly Navarro and Brent Bommentre will appear in the Friday and Sunday shows. Two-time Swiss national ice dance champions and world competitors Leonie Krail and Oscar Peter, who train under Linichuk and Karponossov, will also perform.

In addition to this fabulous roster of guest skaters, ICE AGES will showcase IceWorks Skating Club skaters of all levels, from beginner to adult.

Tickets for the show are available for purchase at the IceWorks Skating Complex front office or by calling 610-497-2200, ext. 125 or 117. General admission tickets are $10. On-ice, hockey box and café seating is available for $25 and includes refreshments. These tickets are limited so please call early.

The IceWorks Skating Complex, one of the only four-rink facilities in the United States, is located in Aston, Pa., just 15 minutes south of Philadelphia and 10 minutes north of Wilmington, Del. The IceWorks Skating Complex is the training center of many national, international, world and Olympic coaches and competitors. It is also the host facility for the Liberty Open Summer Competition, the largest non-qualifying figure skating competition in the world and one that draws many national and international competitors. The IceWorks Skating Club has hosted many U.S. regional and sectional championships in its ten-year existence. Belbin and Agosto mark the first skaters representing the IceWorks Skating Club to ever win a world medal.
